Garden Blogger Blooms Day - November

Everything in the garden is starting to look a little sorry for itself at the moment. Anything left from the flowers that have flourished in previous months are looking dog-eared and windswept, the grass is overly long and the weeds are taking over.

There is one exception, the star of this time of year. The beautiful cyclamen:

Linking in with May Dreams Gardens for GBBD again this month.

    1. We had our first frost last night too. Not a bad one but certainly a wake up call that we need to finish getting the garden sorted for winter!

  2. Cyclamen was my plant purchase for January, and they're still thriving, though I haven't noticed any flowers on them yet. I think I'll pop outside and have a look a little later.

    1. Hi Rozzie, thanks for commenting. Cyclamen do tick all the boxes don't they: pretty flowers, interesting foliage, and get bonus points for being out of season.

  4. With everything gray and dreary here, that lovely plant made my day! BC (before cats) I used to grow Christmas cactus to chase away the daylight savings time blues. Since the little beasties routinely upend anything in a pot, I have to stick to just lurking in garden sites this time of year.

    1. Glad to have brightened things up for you. We had a christmas cactus for a couple of years - but we left it in a hot conservatory with no water for a couple of months and apparently that was too much. Oops!

  5. The one thing the freeze doesn't seem to be killing here is the weeds....sighs...your flowers are fantastic...happy gbbd!

    1. Its annoying how the weeds survive even the most adverse of conditions isn't it!

  6. Your Cyclamen are an unexpected spot of sunshine in a dying landscape. Very pretty! They are mostly indoor plants here. Happy GBBD. Sally

    1. Thanks. This one started off life last year as a houseplant, but we then planted it out and it seems to be thriving.

    1. It's just that time of year isn't it - everything becomes more boring.
